Government Functions under Singapore "Smart Nation" program

Before the "Smart Nation" program was announced, the work related to digital and information technology was in charge by GovTech, the Government Technology Agency under the Ministry of Communications and Information of Singapore (MCI), and IMDA (Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority). In the first two years of the "Smart Nation" program, the implementation encountered numerous challenges, such as barriers in coordination among various government departments, and the outcomes were not as great as expected. In 2017, Singapore decided to restructure relevant government departments.

“智慧国度”计划下的政府职责
“智慧国度”计划提出之前，数字技术信息化相关的工作由新加坡通讯及新闻部下属的政府技术局GovTech和新加坡资讯通信发展管理局IMDA负责。在“智慧国度”计划提出的最初两年，落实过程遇到重重挑战，如各政府部门协调壁垒等，建设成效不大。2017年新加坡决定进行相关政府改组。
